Safaricom Upgrades My OneApp with Zero-Rated Access and New Customer Features

Safaricom customers can now enjoy an even more seamless digital experience on My OneApp following the rollout of the latest app update.

The upgrade introduces zero-rated access, new customer features and a range of performance enhancements.

With the zero-rated capability, customers can access and use My OneApp without incurring data charges.

Users only need to switch on mobile data or connect to Wi-Fi to establish an internet connection. Once connected, they can continue using the app without consuming their data bundles.

The latest update, available on Android (Version 5.1.9) and iOS (Version 5.1.7), introduces several features designed to enhance convenience and improve the overall customer experience.

Key additions include Send to Bank Hakikisha, which provides an added layer of confidence when making bank transfers.

Other enhancements include QR Scan functionality for a smoother payment experience, Daima Service integration and Home Internet Family Share capabilities.

The update also includes a number of defect fixes and performance improvements aimed at delivering a faster, more reliable and intuitive experience for customers.

My OneApp, previously known as the M-PESA App, is a unified platform that brings together the M-PESA App and my Safaricom app into a single digital experience for customers.

The consolidation is aimed at streamlining access to Safaricom services within one application, improving convenience and usability.

 Services Available on MyOneApp

My OneApp integrates a wide range of services to enhance convenience for users.

These include M-PESA services such as transactions, balance checks, statements, and the Pochi Wallet, as well as GSM services including airtime and data bundles, account balances, and Bonga points.

Users can also access Home Fibre services and Quick Care features such as the Security Centre, fraud reporting, subscription management, and line management tools.

The platform further offers personalization through quick actions, Zuri AI support, Scan-to-Pay functionality, and a global search feature for easier navigation.

In addition, mini apps bring third-party services into the platform, including investment, credit, transport, and entertainment solutions.
