Safaricom has enhanced the My OneApp experience to offer greater convenience and accessibility for all users, including those on other networks and roaming customers.
The upgrade enables seamless login and access across different networks, including rival telecom networks and Wi-Fi connections.
This comes as good news for diaspora users and customers outside Safaricom’s network coverage, as it addresses previous access challenges experienced while using the app remotely.
Customers can now conveniently send money, pay bills, access loans and savings and manage their accounts from anywhere virtually.
Safaricom has also moved to strengthen user security and improve the login experience through the introduction of biometric authentication features.
In addition to fingerprint authentication for transaction approvals, the telco has introduced Face ID support, offering users a faster, smoother, and more secure way to access the app.
This enhancement replaces the previous PIN-only authentication system and strengthens overall account security.
To activate biometric authentication, users can navigate to: Profile > Biometric Authentication > Turn on > Enter M-PESA pin.

The platform further offers personalization through quick actions, Zuri AI support, Scan-to-Pay functionality, and a global search feature for easier navigation.
In addition, mini apps bring third-party services into the platform, including investment, credit, transport, and entertainment solutions.
