KCB and Mastercard Roll Out Islamic Finance Payments Solution

The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has partnered with Mastercard to launch an Islamic finance payments solution for customers under the Sahl Banking offering.

As part of the partnership, the bank has rolled out the Sahl Card, providing customers with a convenient and secure platform to manage their spending while accessing exclusive lifestyle and travel benefits.

In addition, KCB has unveiled the Sahl Agency banking network which will allow customers to deposit funds and withdraw cash.

They will also be able to make payments and access other essential banking services through the agents.

The solutions are developed in line with Islamic finance principles, with the card allowing customers to make everyday purchases and payments while remaining aligned with their values and financial preferences.

Speaking during the launch, the bank’s Group Director, Strategy & Innovation, Mark Mwongela, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to developing financial solutions that reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of its customers.
